Classic Cars Festival in California
Evaluated as one of top 10 biggest classic cars exhibitions in the world, the prestigious Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance annually appeals to thousands of motor-sports fans, shopping car collectors as well as the greatest drivers last Sunday. This was the second year La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California hosted the event. The Santa Rosa Mountains was considered to be an ideal backdrop for the concours, and competition of over 150 cars from nearly 20 different classes.
A number of cars belong to private collections and museums. Furthermore, there is a variety of activities during exhibition including parties, tour, opening reception and live music. However, the most outstanding event is an auction in Mountain Golf Cours, La Quinta resort and Best car prize.
Best of Show belonged to 1929 Auburn 8-120 Boattail Speedster owned by Aaron and Valerie Weiss of San Marino, California.
In 2011, the forth time such an attracting festival of innovative engineering, design and performance took place in three days from Feb 25th to 27th with thousands of attendees and over 200 invited cars from U.S, Canada, and Europe.
